Privacy Policy

SoundHop

Last updated: July 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the SoundHop apps — SoundHop Sender for Mac and SoundHop Receiver for iPhone (together, “SoundHop” or “the apps”).

SoundHop does not collect, store, sell, or share any data.

There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. Nothing about you or your device is ever sent to us or to any third party.

Data we collect

None. SoundHop does not collect any personal information or usage data of any kind.

How SoundHop works

SoundHop streams audio directly between your own Mac and iPhone over your local network. That audio stays entirely on your devices and your network — it is encrypted in transit and is never routed through, stored on, or accessible to our servers. In fact, SoundHop has no servers.

Permissions

The apps request a few permissions, used only on your device to make audio forwarding work:

None of these permissions are used to gather information about you.

Third parties

SoundHop contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software development kits (SDKs). No data is shared with anyone.

Children's privacy

SoundHop does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
